Suburban Redland Family Garden

for D + I

A once uninviting blank canvas renovated into an all year garden…

Materials can transform a space from being unusable and high maintenance to a beneficial, worthwhile landscape. The selection in this project was key to delivering the brief. A transitional garden with all-season use, entertaining space, and increased privacy (a familiar and important desire in most urban outdoor environments.)

The layout is unfussy with herbaceous borders flanking the sides of the EasiGrass artificial lawnLondon Stone Jura Grey Limestone clads the steps to the house and creates the ideal spot for a morning coffee. Envirobuild composite decking clads the seating area under the Oak framed pergola. Pleached trees line the west boundary helping to screen the garden from the surrounding windows.

Working with the team at Artisan on the plan to totally redesign our walled city garden was a joy. They combine practical, hands-on skill with a passion for quality materials and thoughtful design. Work was carried out in a professional and friendly manner and we would strongly recommend Will, Jamie and the team to anyone looking to create their own unique and special garden. – D + G
