Our client’s love for terrariums helped inform this brief. Increased planting areas and a focus on hard landscaping details were also priorities for them.
When looking out from the living space, we wanted the clients to feel an immediate sense of calm and feel at one with their very own green sanctuary.
We combined highly textured, verdant foliage planting with pretty, successional planting and paired this with multi-stem trees, to create striking colour contrasts against the black charred Accoya of the boundary walls and the rust-coloured corten steel water tanks.
CLIENT RESPONSE
From start to finish the whole team at Artisan were a real pleasure to work with. From the initial scoping meeting, they listened to what I wanted to try and create, and then combined their complimentary skills and experience to come up with the project plan. It did not stop raining for the full 6 weeks of the project, yet the team worked tirelessly every day, and were unfailingly cheerful! On top of that, they had to deal with the problem of access to a Clifton garden, which entailed hoisting all the materials over a 2m wall (both out and into the garden).
I am absolutely delighted with our new garden. The attention to detail of all the hard landscaping works required, was excellent, and I am looking forward to Spring to see the planting come into its own.
I would not hesitate to recommend this team of young, enthusiastic, skilled and professional artisans to anybody thinking of redesigning their outdoor space.
